CoolSculpting FAQs

CoolSculpting is a non-invasive fat removal procedure and applied with tissue-cooling applicators that attach to a targeted fat area to cool and freeze the underlying fat tissue. The vacuum applicator pulls the tissue into the applicator cup area and between two cooling panels.

Most patients notice results in fat removal within 2-4 months after treatment. Patients may continue additional sessions 2-4 months after the first body contouring treatment to reach optimal results.

There are recorded patient results from studies that tracked up to six months post CoolSculpting treatments. Patients reported results lasting during this time period and there are patient testimonials that track beyond this timeframe. The fat cell removal from the CoolSculpting procedure is expected to last as long as liposuction results or other body contouring methods.

CoolSculpting is not as invasive as surgical fat removal procedures such as liposuction that provide rapid results but with major downtime and surgery. CoolSculpting is safe and effective and offers little to no downtime with little discomfort.

Patients can return to normal activities such as work and exercise after treatment. Redness and minor bruising may occur but shouldnโ€™t last long. Treatment areas may feel a little less sensation or mild numbness for a moderate amount of time after treatment up to several weeks.

The best candidates for CoolSculpting are those who have moderate fat bulge areas that donโ€™t respond to diet and exercise and are looking for general spot reduction in common problem areas of subcutaneous fat. CoolSculpting is not used to treat obesity or weight loss.
